Strasbourg
|
June 26: We spent the day driving from Chamonix back to Saverne where we spent the next few days with the Criquis. The next day we tranquilly explored Strasbourg. For the record, Strasbourg currently is part of France (although it has been part of Germany multiple times throughout history). If you ever visit the city, you have to visit the cathedral built out of a red stone and the astronomical clock inside. We walked through la Petite France, the old center of Strasbourg which boasts many typically Alsacien houses and shops lining canals. Despite their being winter dishes, Katy and I shared a choucroute and tarte flambée for lunch. |
