After getting the oil changed on the Accord and having the front brakes cleaned, we set up camp in Zion Canyon. The shuttle service up the canyon is really nice. The red sandstone is breathtaking. In the right light, with one canyon wall in shade, narrow parts of the canyon look nearly luminous. The only trail we hiked was "Weeping Rock"---a rock overhang out of which spills spring water . . . It's amazing how cool the canyon bottom becomes once it is shaded. Quite comfortable.
