Niagara Falls, NY

Today we left Lansing and stopped at Niagara Falls after eating lunch with Paul and Amanda in Rochester [NY]. Katy hadn't seen the falls before. We did all the cool stuff --- the Maid of the Mist boat tour that goes up under the spray of the falls, and the Cave of the Winds tour that lets you walk up to within 20 ft of one of the falls. It was great! The latter had a platform called "Hurricane Deck" where you get pounded by the spray. We were soaked when we were done.

At the moment we're in Brampton, Ontario staying with Aunt Connie.

Katy and I went into Toronto today, after first driving east along the northern shore of Lake Ontario for a few miles [or would that be kilometers?]. Two or three times I came whithin a foot or two of clobbering bicyclists who darted out in front of the car. Despite that (and the car that ignored his stop sign to pull in front of me), no accidents or oopsies. We went to the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM for short). They had a cool temporary exhibit on the history of wine. This evening we met Connie's neighbors John and Gary, who served us apple-rhubarb pie---yumm!
