Wednesday July 4, 2001 . . . we drove up (with Travis, Tyler, George, and Betty) Cache la Poudre Canyon. Locals pronounce it "poo-der". We went up to Lake Agnes, a gorgeous alpine lake high up in the mountains. After getting rained on and hailed on, the weather cleared and we ate lunch by the lakeside. The boys fished and I scrambled most of the way up one of the slopes. Then the wind picked up and I saw some more dark clouds in the distance. Being a chicken, I decided I had to throw in the towel. |
